1. Upgrade and add family
We believe we’re the only health insurance provider to allow members to pay separately to upgrade and add family members to their own cover under the company plan – which does not incur extra P11D costs. So by buying a company plan, businesses can open the door to private health support for their wider uninsured employees.
2. Annual health checks
Equipsme plans come with an annual home health check through Thriva, which vary depending on plan level. In addition, members can buy extra tests themselves. Here’s what’s included:
- GP Plus: Members get 30% off the cost of any Thriva test of their choice each year, AND a further 20% off any other tests they buy.
- Diagnosis: Members get a choice of either a Cholesterol or Diabetes test, AND a further 20% off any other tests they buy.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Members get a choice of either a PSA test, an enhanced Heart Health, Diabetes or a Thyroid test as part of their plan, and 20% off any other tests they buy.
- Diagnosis and Treatment Plus: Members get a choice of either a Heart Health, Men’s Health, Women’s Hormones, Thyroid & Iron or Diabetes test, AND a further 20% off any other tests they buy. All members can also get 25% off Nuffield in- person health checks.
3. Gym discounts
All Equipsme members get a 40% discount off monthly individual memberships at Nuffield Gyms, 40% off Hussle’s Monthly+ pass and 40% off Nuffield online memberships. Partners and spouses of Equipsme members can get a 20% discount on their gym membership. If partners / spouses are not added to the plan, they can still get a 20% discount off their Nuffield gym membership.
Equipsme plans are subject to P11D/BiK tax but employees using the gym discount could potentially save themselves a similar amount to off-set this cost.
4. Vision Express discount
Equipsme members can get a free eye test every year, and a 30% discount off glasses at Vision Express (when they spend £50 or more). This applies to all family members included on the plan, too.
5. Elder care discount and support
Equipsme plans come with access to elder care support discounts from Which recommended organisation Taking Care. They provide things like wearable alarms, connected to a 24/7 emergency response team. Members can get £40 off the set-up costs, a 30-day money back guarantee and 1 month free if they pay annually by Direct Debit. They also provide useful elder care information and a helpline.
