Equipsme was set up in 2018 to disrupt the business health insurance market. After speaking to many businesses in the UK it became clear there was a need for a more affordable and easy to understand business health cover so Equipsme set about building health insurance plans that would make health cover accessible for more businesses in the UK. Private medical insurance plans for businesses can be confusing – with lots of plan options, complicated pricing and terminology.

With Equipsme we have simplified business cover options, used plain English and tried to avoid complicated medical insurance terms – we even have a Jargon Buster to help businesses navigate the world of health insurance.

There are 4 levels of plan for companies with employees, from entry level to comprehensive, with costs starting at £9 pppm.

There’s one price for all ages 16-69 on our plans for businesses with employees, no medical questionnaires on application, and very few limits on usage – and you can start using your plan from day one.

This means you don’t have to go through a complicated quote process – you can see immediately how much it could cost your business to help keep your team fit and well.

We think health insurance should be available for everyone and for companies of all sizes, including large corporates and SMEs, and their teams – and their families.

Our pricing per cover level is the same for all employees aged 16‑69 and we don’t charge loyal customers more at renewal than new customers – everyone pays the price you see.

With our plans we’re upfront about what you’re covered for and what you’re not, and why.

There is a simple exclusion of pre existing conditions in the three years before cover starts and we don’t cover cancer treatment. You can get your diagnosis, but the NHS is best placed to organise your treatment. That also means we can help keep costs down and help keep our plans within the reach of the small businesses we want to support – and keep the pressure off the NHS elsewhere
